X-1R Sponsors Mitsubishi Provincial Dealers’ Golf Tournament
A strongly-bonded group of principals and owners of 38 provincial Mitsubishi dealers in the Philippines, calling themselves “PROMDI” (a Filipino slang word for innocent provincial folk) gathered for a new year’s fellowship last January 12.
The event started with Breakfast fellowship, graced by Mitsubishi Motor Philippines Corp (MMPC) president Mr. Takeshi Hara and Fuso Philippines president Yosuke Nishi. Everybody was filled with excitement as this was the first time they have met again after the world was blindsided by the Covid pandemic in 2020.
A fun and friendly golf tournament at Hallow Ridge Filipinas Golf Club in San Pedro, Laguna followed for the day with over 100 players participating from all classes.
Present and former officers of MMPC also played. Cruising the 18-hole, par 72 course gave the dealer principals time to share amongst themselves past and present challenges and encourage each other with new dreams and aspirations for 2024 and beyond.
CreativeSparx, Inc (exclusive X-1R Philippine distributor) president Brixton Aw and Tim Chua captured the top awards as the Overall Champion and Low Net winners, respectively, Aw finished with a 78 gross while Chua netted 71 in the tourney.
The golf event was hosted by Boy Dy and Joseph Alcantara of Mitsubishi SFM and Marty Gonzales of Mitsubishi Alpine.

The event ended with the awarding ceremonies, raffle draws and fun party at Mitsubishi Carmona, Laguna dealership. They were entertained by Manila’s’ popular variety band.
One of the major sponsors of the event was X-1R Performance Lubricants, the only ancillary after sales maintenance products accredited by MMPC. X-1R is the only Space Technology Certified and NASA Hall of Fame Awardee product in the whole world.
