Have you seen a BMW CE 04 here in the Philippines? This electric scooter has acquired a new and unique design by Vagabund Moto. With the beaches and tropical weather that the Philippines has to offer, surely this Austrian design of bohemian, tropical and surfing aesthetic fits perfectly well
The “04” in the BMW CE 04 is meant to hint at the 400cc scooters this bike takes aim at. Sitting low in the chassis is a battery similar to the ones used in the BMW iX vehicles. It is compact and practical to use with handy cubbyholes and wind deflectors. It also has a toothed belt so riders do not have to worry about the cleaning and oiling of chains.
Oh, now I remember where I have seen this. On Siargao Island!

You will be amazed at how the locals there express their resourcefulness and creativity by putting surfboard racks on the side of the rental motorbikes for tourists. The rack is multipurpose, used for attaching a side basket and also to transport heavy and big surfboards coast to coast.
So far, the BMW CE 04 is the sole electric two-wheeled offering by BMW. With the customization made by Vagabund to its original design, we are drooling over that “estetik” way of placing a surfboard as its sidepod. This is a work of art and imagination.

While I am not believer of EVs, this BMW CE 04 is an exception because of its design, versatility and context.
