VOLKSWAGEN GOLF FAN FEST 2024: The Biggest Gathering of Golf Owners & Enthusiasts

Volkswagen Golf is celebrating its biggest milestone this year, the 50th anniversary of the Volkswagen Golf! To mark the occasion, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) will be hosting the ‘Volkswagen Golf Fan Fest 2024’ on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 11 AM to 8 PM at the Sepang International Circuit.
One of the event highlights will be the Malaysia Book of Records attempt for the largest gathering of Golf owners and fans from across the country. Plus, there’s the ‘Golf Showdown’ where you can proudly showcase your beloved Golf and stand a chance to win fantastic prizes! There will be five categories, because with Golf, it’s not just about driving.
The categories are:-
- Timeless Legends (Mk1 and Mk2),
- Modern Classic (Mk3 and Mk4),
- Era Definer (Mk5 and Mk6),
- Next Gen Masters (Mk7 and Mk8),
- Most Hardcore Golf (Mk1 till Mk8)
Additionally, the event will also feature the ‘Golf Gymkhana,’ where owners can show off their driving skills. And for extra fun, visitors can hop in for a thrilling drift taxi ride in a Golf R or enjoy track sessions featuring the legendary Golf GTI. Because who says the fun stops at parking ?
For your information, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) will also be unveiling the GTI Edition 50 as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the Golf. This new machine comes fully loaded with accessories, including an Oettinger body kit, new rims, black side mirror housings, exclusive Edition 50 emblems, and sporty side accents inspired by the signature GTI honeycomb design. Plus, the exterior look of the GTI Edition 50 is further enhanced with “Edition 50 VW” tint and a special “50” emblem on the B-pillar, proudly marking this as a special edition model. Because why settle for ordinary when you can drive a piece of history ?
