To be precise, a looney far-left militant group going by the name of “Vulkangruppe Tesla Abschallen” or in English “ Volcano group shutting down Tesla” is claiming the responsibility for the Arson attack on the power supply to the Tesla giga factory near Berlin, Germany, this week as reported by Reuters.
The attack has closed the plant down, at least for a few days. The aim of the action, according to a letter posted on a website known as kontrapolois.info was “the first step on the path to liberation from the patriarchy”. No surprise then that the attack happened on March 8 which, for us Neanderthals, just happens to be International Women’s Day apparently.

The letter go’s on to say “We sabotaged Tesla, they consume earth, resources, people, workers and in return spit out 6000 SUV’s, killer cars and monster trucks each week”. The letter itself was signed “Agua De Pau” which seems to be the name of the volcanic mountain in the Azores. For now the police have not confirmed if the letter is the real deal or not.
Past attacks by the group have also been ‘signed’ by volcano’s such as mostly in Iceland with names such as Grimsvotn and Katla. German police have been trying to track the group since the first attack in 2011 but as of now do not really know much about the group at all.
Tesla are set to lose the production of about 1000 vehicles at a cost of at least 100 million dollars as a result of the power outage. Currently the site employs about 12500 workers but this is set to increase as the company remains undeterred and are still planning the expansion of the factory in the coming year.
The plan is to produce 500,000 cars a year at the plant but local environment groups are not happy with that. Recently the local community voted against the expansion and blocked a move to fell some old-growth trees that stood in the way of the expansion. To this day there is a group called the Tesla Stoppen who are encamped in the forest to stop the expansion.
Elon Musk, no stranger to controversy, weighed in via X where he tweeted “These are the dumbest eco-terrorists on earth or they are puppets of those who do not have good environmental goals. Stopping production of electric vehicles, rather than fossil fuel vehicles, ist extrem dumm” using the German for extremely dumb.
he Tesla Factory in Germany has now been attack three times by groups claiming to be environ-mental-ists. This attack seems to have been the worst with an emergency shutdown taking place. This involved the decanting of molten aluminium from its smelters before it went solid.
I think it is weird that the hemp trouser wearing environmentalists are up in arms against the very type of transportation that is supposed to save and green our planet. Unless they know something that our governments are not telling us, just saying.
