The Perodua Bezza Gets Restyled for 2020

Perodua launched the 2020 version of its popular sedan, the Bezza, today revealing subtle new styling and advanced safety features. The 2020 Perodua Bezza has a bolder stance compared to its predecessor thanks to restyled front grille and front and rear bumpers.

New two-tone side skirting and 15″ alloy rims (1.3-litre variants only) and steep and sharp headlights add to the “premium” and overall sporty look of arguably Malaysia’s favourite family car, if you go by sales number, proving you can bundle fun and family into one affordable car.

The interior features new semi-bucket front seats for the higher-spec variants and across the range new white-illuminated meter combi to improve the driver experience.

For those who prioritise safety, the Advanced Safety Assist (ASA) 2.0, which was already introduced in the Myvi, Axia and Aruz models, finds its way into the 2020 Perodua Bezza, specifically the top of the range AV variant. The ASA 2.0 includes Pedestrian Detection, Pre-Collision Warning and Braking, Front Departure Alert and Pedal Misoperation Control; this variant also features Hill-Start Assist to prevent rolling backwards on steep inclines when the brakes are disengaged.

The 2020 model still offers the same spacious 508-litre luggage space, smart key entry, push start/stop button and navigation-equipped multimedia system with Android-pairing capability. The two engine options remain the same: the 1.0-litre VVT-i for the G variant and the more powerful 1.3-litre Dual VVT-i for the X and AV variants. Prices range from RM34,580 to 49,980 (OTR, before insurance, in Peninsular Malaysia).

Since it’s launch in 2016, Perodua has already sold 184,000 units of the Bezza in Malaysia and will be delivering 5,600 units of the 2020 model by month-end.
