Pagani is ready to reveal the new Huayra Roadster at the Geneva Motor Show next month. It will feature upgraded hardware from the coupe version, including an AMG M158 6.0-litre V12 that produces 754hp at 6,200rpm, and mated to a seven-speed automated manual transmission.
The Roadster has shed 6 % or 80kg (176 lbs) from the coupe, which tips the scale at 1,280kg (2,822lbs) while also having improved torsional flexional rigidity, achieved largely with the use of new composite materials. Pagani also made changes to the suspension, by the incorporation of a new lightweight aluminum alloy, called HiForg, which was designed specifically for the Roadster, which contributes to the overall lighter weight.
There’s going to be only 100 of this supercar at US$2.41 million a piece. But most of them already have some rich person’s name on it…
