Malaysian national car racer, 17-year-old Putera Adam Halim, continues to make waves in the world of motorsports, particularly in the four-wheeled arena.
Putera started go-karting when he was eight and since moving on to saloon car racing, has already made his mark in several international racing events, including the Vios Sprint Cup, Toyota Gazoo Racing Festival, Thailand Super Series dan Sepang 1,000KM for the 2023 season.
He made himself a sensation when he emerged the victor in the Supercar GTC category for Round 2 of the Thailand Super Series. Representing AAS Motorsport in the race which took place at the Bangsaen Circuit in Chonburi, Thailand, he crossed the finish line one lap ahead of the field, making him the undeniable champion.
According to the lad who hails from Subang Jaya, a suburb located 15 kilometres from Kuala Lumpur, his strategy was to challenge the racer ahead of him. Admittedly, he was not as fast as them but his vehicle, a Porsche Cayman GT4 RS, was evidently better, more stable and reliable, which he credits as the reason he was able to bring home the trophy.
Prior to this, Putera Adam had also won the Round 1 race at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram held in April. We’ll see him in action next at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia.
If you are a fellow Malaysian, we’ll see you there!
