Woman’s Perodua Bezza Engine Breaks Down After Only 46km & Perodua Refuses to Fix It

Posted by Facebook user Nagakanni Subramaniam who owns the car, the Perodua Bezza in question was purchased on 17 October 2023 at Pusat Jualan Harapan Terang Motor Sdn Bhd Segamat and droven away at 11am 8 hours later at 7.40pm, the car would not start.

The car was towed away the next day and she was told on that day that the car’s engine was damaged and not usable anymore.

She then contacted Perodua’s HQ who mentioned that the case would require her to wait another month for a decision by Perodua.

On 9 November, more than 3 weeks later, a representative from Perodua called her back and informed her that preliminary investigations found sugar in the engine and other foreign substances.

She remains adamant that she did not tamper with the car between the time she drove the car home and when she found out it would not start again.

The latest update on 2 January is that Perodua still has not responded with a course of action.

She lamented that she’s still paying her monthly loan of RM537 even though she can’t drive it and Perodua has not offered any solutions.

Nagakanni filed a police report immediately after finding out about her stalled car but no consumer protection agencies have come forward to help her case.

This news also comes amidst the Daihatsu scandal that also affects the Perodua Bezza.
