Mercedes-Benz’s Latest “Vehicles” For BABIES

A vehicle is a “thing” that transports humans (or goods) on land, so technically, Mercedes-Benz’s latest creation is also a vehicle…but for babies! The luxury automaker, known for performance and reliability, has actually ventured into mobility for their customer’s offspring for some years now by teaming up with another German company, Hartan, which has been producing strollers for generations of kiddos.

The partnership has recently birthed (pun intended!) three new series of strollers with model names Avantgarde, Performance and after the racing arm, AMG GT.

All these strollers are handbuilt in Germany and designed to be lightweight yet strong, with their chassis fashioned from aluminium. The 5-double-spoked wheels are inspired by the AMG design, and baby’s ride is guaranteed smooth on the suspension and air-chamber tyres. Hartan says that “you don’t push a Mercedes-Benz Hartan; it’s more like a glide”.

A few other thoughtful, practical design features include the silent adjustable canopy with a back panel that opens to reveal a ventilation panel, a fold-out sun visor, and telescopic push-bar to adjust to a comfortable height for the parent/guardian, not to mention UV fabric and reflective strips for added health and safety precautions. The height of the bumper bar can be adjusted as the kid grows and can even be swung to the side to easily seat the child. The foot rest can also be adjusted to acommodate growing legs.

You can swap the seat with an optional carry cot, boasting a luxurious mattress so newborns too can glide in style and continue sleeping peacefully in it because no tired parent wants to wake a baby. Other accessories include a matching Bag2Go to store your phone, wallet and more, plus optional nappy bag, headrest and apron to protect from wind and rain.

They are only available in certain parts of Europe and the UK (sorry!) and only at certain retailers. We only managed to find one store selling it online for over £1,200. So, how much do you love your kid?
