Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and Nicol David Organisation Bring Christmas Cheer to Kids

30 children from Rumah KIDS were given a Christmas treat by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia and one of Malaysia’s greatest athletes of all time, Datuk Nicol David, through the Nicol David Organisation. It was held at the Bukit Jalil Golf & Country Club during the automaker’s 11th annual initiative “Christmas In A Shoebox”.

The children were chauffeured to the venue by Mercedes-Benz staff and treated to a variety of activities.

“This is a new beginning for NDO and myself to give back to the local community and to share the knowledge that I gained from my squash career. Through this platform and with the support of Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, I believe we can together create an impact to nurture the next generation,” said the former world number one squash player.

FUN FACT: Datuk Nicol David was named the World Games Greatest Athlete of All Time after receiving the highest number of votes in a recent poll by the International World Games Association. Now that’s a superstar…

Even Mr and Mrs Santa Claus made an appearance, played by Mercedes-Benz Malaysia VP of Sales and Marketing, Michael Jopp, and President & CEO, Sagree Sardien.

“Children bring so much joy into our lives and they are our future. We are committed to nurturing and empowering these little ones and hope to support them as much as possible to build a better tomorrow, and we’re glad to be able to organise this with Datuk Nicol David through her new organisation,” said Sardien.
