Life-Sized Lamborghini Sian FKP37 Made Out of LEGO Bricks!
Many of us played with LEGOs growing up and quite a few still indulge in this creative pastime as adults. LEGO, as you might know, means ‘play well’ in Danish (derived from ‘leg godt’). Over the years, LEGO builders have created brick versions of famous buildings, celebrities and even vehicles, like this Lamborghini Sian FKP37.
Attention to detail
Last year, LEGO made and sold a 1:8 scale model of Lambo’s hybrid supercar and now they have taken it up a notch with a life-sized incarnation made for the Italian carmaker. The replica is made up of 154 different types of LEGO elements and twenty of them are exclusive moulds for this build.
It took 15 Czech ‘building and engineering specialists’ a staggering 8660 hours and over 400,000 pieces to assemble this simulacrum. And get this: to get that paintbrush-effect colour UV coating, it was painted in Lamborghini’s paint shop!!
Measuring 16.3 feet long, 6.9 feet wide and 3.7 feet tall, its dimensions match the real car down to a tee. As for its weight, it is slightly heavier, tipping the scale at 5,000 pounds (heavier than a Lamborghini Urus), which is rather surprising since it doesn’t have the real car’s naturally aspirated V-12 or hybrid system onboard.
Even the interior is built to match the actual car’s dashboard, instrumental panel, centre console, and steering wheel.
This is as real as LEGO can get. Perhaps, the good folks at Lamborghini might be persuaded to sell it. If they do, any takers?
