Rebadging is not a new phenomenon. The most famous and controversial rebadges are the Z4 and the Supra. Many will argue they are not the same car, but hey, that’s what rebadging and marketing does.
The Nissan N7 has recently been revealed and its an earnest take from Nissan to muslce some EV marketshare in China, we just wish it wasn’t a rebadge of the Dongfeng eπ 007. That’s “e” “pie”… 007.

We respect the hustle, but it’s hard to look at the makers of the Nissan Skyline, reduced to rebadging to pander to appease a fad.
In case you didn’t know, the Mazda 6e is a rebadged Changan Deepal L07.

Upon closer scrutiny, even Toyota and Honda are in bed with the Chinese brands, i.e., Toyota with BYD’s batteries and Honda with GM and GAC.
Like the once-proud British car brands and the lagging German brands like Volkswagen, Japanese car brands are struggling to keep up with the EV race to the bottom.
We just hope they come to their senses and put down the EV Kool-Aid that’s wrecking the auto industry.
