Jaguar Type 00 Concept Is Here… It Has No Rear Windshield

After the questionable re-launch of Jaguar the brand, the car has finally followed suit, and its a pink concept car called the Jaguar Type 00.

The pink is actually Rhodon Rose, according to their flashy press release, but any way you slice it, its a pink punch in the face for the audience of Jaguar who have, traditionally, chosen silver, racing green, and of course, black.

Along with its bold new colour, the brand campaign “boldly” declared they would “Copy Nothing” an abbreviation of Sir William Lyon’s belief that “A Jaguar should be a copy of nothing.”

Ironically, a lack of a rear window is actually a copy of the Polestar 4, the first EV that rolled out on British roads without a rear windshield.

All that said, a note on the Jaguar press release is very important for those of us looking at these images and clutching our pearls.

Jaguar reveals Type 00 as an indicator of design philosophy and intent for the coming new vehicles. The production process will embrace any ways to improve the specification, design and production of its vehicles, parts and accessories and alterations take place continually. This document is a snapshot of where we are today and is not a guide to specifications or availability. It does not constitute an offer for the sale of any particular vehicle, part or accessory.

There has been a long-running history of ridiculous concept cars, but many have also made it into reality, and becoming popular like the Nissan GT-R or the Audi TT.

It seems like Jaguar is steering into the ice here and hoping it doesn’t hit an iceberg. We just hope when the actual car arrives in late 2025, someone, somewhere would put the brakes on this concept.

Here’s one final picture of the Type 00, which will be the amount sales it gets if it hits the market looking like this.
