Jaguar Invests in Luxury Paint Colours

Much was made of the weird advert released by Jaguar a few short months ago, and much of the criticism was about the colour of the vehicles featured subsequently. But perhaps Jaguar will have the last laugh as they commit about 80 million Americaland Dollars expanding its luxury paint services in both the UK and Slovenia where they build many models.

They are not the first to venture into the bespoke paint business, Rolls Royce and Bentley have been doing it for some time. If you haven’t seen the Bentley Cricket ball red you should check it out.

The investment is set to double the bespoke paint capacity for Jaguar and their Range Rover septs allowing customers to match the paint of their favourite yacht or wife’s fingernail shade.

The company will open a new paint shop in Castle Bromwich which is in near their Midlands factory and of course also in Slovakia where they make the Defender and Discovery models.

Not to be outdone, Rolls Royce also made an announcement about a USD375 million investment in their ability to create custom details for their customers.

According to a separate report carried by Reuters the company has seen increased levels of interest from would be owners for costly personalized baubles and ornaments. These could and will include anything from gold statues to mother-of-pearl inlays.

If you have got it, flaunt it!
