Harry Potter Buses Used to Transport Nurses, What a Wizard of an Idea!
Errr, no, not this one.
No broomsticks, so buses will have to do. Automologist MAC brings us news from home…
In my old hometown, London, the Harry Potter buses that normally would take tourists to the Warner Brothers Harry Potter film studio are being used as free transport for Health Service (NHS) workers. The buses will be utilised primarily in Hertfordshire, the county to the North of London, where the studio is located and will have onboard social distancing rules.
More like this one.
Since the slow and steady creep of the “Kung Flu”, also known as COVID-19, people had gradually stopped going on the tour and of course when the UK decided to restrict public movement, the tour company, Golden Tours, had to cease all trips to the studio in Leavesden where much of the filming for Harry Potter took place.
A spokesman for the NHS was quoted as saying it was a ‘wizard idea’ to help the overworked local health workers get to and from work in these difficult times. The buses are brightly coloured with scenes from the films and will be used to shuttle staff between Watford General Hospital, St Albans City and Hemel Hempstead.
