And the World’s Most Instagrammed Car is…*drum roll*….

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’d know that Instagram is now the social media channel to market your product or simply to show off your things. If you have a product that is “photogenic”, users will be posting and hashtagging it, and bam! your brand gets potentially pushed into over 1 billion Instagram accounts.

Besides showing off your cat, Instagrammers also like to show off, you guessed it, their cars. According to Veygo, an online publication by the UK car insurance company Admiral, the car which pictures have the highest circulation on the Gram is none other than…*drum roll*…the Ford Mustang.

One of the top images was posted by @mountaingirlstangs, who describes her account as “Mustangs, music & outdoors”—how can you not love that.

Veygo took the top two most popular hashtags for each vehicle still currently in production and combined them. The tally back in mid-March for #fordmustang and #mustang was 11,947,87 (as of time of publication of this article, it has climbed to 12,416,981). Well, it’s not that much of a surprise.

The ‘Stang is an iconic muscle car that has been around for over five decades. It is not only good-looking but also tugs at nostalgic heartstrings.

The next car, though, is one that is arguably less stylish than the Mustang. With 7,402,365 hashtags, the Honda Civic comes in as the second most Instagrammed car. Why? Well, the Civic is Honda’s most popular model to date and one of the best-selling car model in history. Also, the top posts for the Civic hashtags are mostly high-performance versions, which were modified or has the Type R badge.
