The 2-day JSK Motor Show held in Angeles City, in the Pampanga province of the Philippines, on 15 and 16 November 2013 was attended by 7000 visitors from all across Central Luzon (encompassing 5 provinces of Pampanga, Tarlac, Bulacan, Bataan and Zambales). These car enthusiasts had flocked to the motor show to admire the 200 custom-built vehicles, exhibited on the open grounds of the 5-Star Fontana Hotel, Resort and Casino. The vehicle displays ranged from ordinary passenger cars, modified to each owner’s passion, to exotic and vintage luxury vehicles, dressed up sports vehicles to strongly built off-road vehicles and even custom-built motorcycles.
It is hard to imagine that the JSK Motor Show, which started as a motorcade of custom vehicles a few years ago, is the now the largest car show north of Metro Manila. Among the winning entries are:
Sports Car Category
- A VeilSide sports car, a replica of the car featured in Tokyo Drift and used by ‘Han’ in the movie Fast and the Furious Part 3
Compact Passenger Car Category
- A fully loaded Honda Jazz
Sports Utility Car Category
- A fully accessorised Toyota Hilux
Motorcycle Category
- A Yamaha Majesty 125 CC scooter
The event was organised by the JSK Group, supplier of JSK Custom Paints and Body Kits. Its Chairman and President, Johnson Tan, is a renowned car aficionado within the Philippines car community. Also in attendance were X-1R representatives, one of the event’s main sponsors, including X-1R Global’s Country Manager, Harold Dick Ledda and CreativeSparx Inc’s (distributor of X-1R’s products in the Philippines) President, Brixton Aw as well as X-1R Motorcycle Club Philippines’ Chairman, Andy Rodriguez, President, Ralph Rodriguez and Vice President, Eric Galo.
“Majority of the JSK exhibitors, who are all conscious about engine performance, preventive maintenance, engine quality and operational efficiency spoke well of the X-1R products, having been regular users themselves for years now,” said Ledda.
There are 3 JSK Motor Shows scheduled for 2014 alone. Aw confirmed that X-1R will continue to be an avid supporter and sponsor of the motor show for at least the next 3 years.
