Meet Zombie 222. But it doesn’t move like one.

Mitch Medford, a muscle car enthusiast from Texas, left a stable career in tech to pursue his dream of converting classic cars into incredibly fast cars….powered by electric! If his first (and only) project so far is anything to go by, he’s going to make it.

Bloodshed Motors has just converted a ’68 Mustang into the fastest production-based electric car on the planet. The Zombie 222 eclipsed past records at the famed Texas Mile by reaching a tremendous 174.2mph. You can witness the journey yourself in the video:

This Zombie can propel from 0 to 60mph in just 2.4 seconds and completes a quartermile in just 10.7 seconds topping at 125mph. The electric motors pump out over 800hp and a monumental 1,800lb-ft of torque. Medford and his team are working towards a speed of 180mph next. Not a bad second life for a car that would have been turned into scrap metal already.
