Bus Driver Drifts Double-Decker Bus Away From Potential Crash
Top draw saves are not only confined to the World Rally Championships. The insane behind-the-wheel skills of a double-decker bus driver in Edinburgh, Scotland, avoided a potential calamity.
The bus driver is mum-of-two, Charmaine Laurie, who avoided a potential fatal crash when she guided her bus away from a car that seemed to have stalled on the road.
Nail-biting footage captured by Gareth Smith shows Charmaine’s bus, in which she was ferrying 20 passengers including schoolkids, coming over the hill and heading straight towards a MINI.

“I touched the brake and as soon as I did the back end slid out so I took my foot off and just guided it through the space that was there,” Charmaine told the Edinburgh Evening News.
“My heart was in my mouth,” she said. “I actually thought I was going to hit her.”
You can hear Gareth shouting: “Oh my God, oh my God, oh my God, no!” in the video. He admitted he was bracing himself for impact the entire time but managed to reverse his van slightly to avoid the collision. The video clip has since gone viral:
